Jim Ellis also has extensive experience in the personal protection / robbery suppression field. In 1980/81 he was employed as a member of Hugh M. Hefner’s personal security team at Playboy Enterprises West Coast Corporate Headquarters and at Playboy Mansion West in Beverly Hills, California.

After leaving Playboy, Jim provided robbery suppression services at jewelry stores on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, including Cartier Jewelers and Fred Joaillier.

Ellis & Associates has provided robbery suppression services for a large bank chain in the Pacific Northwest, and workplace violence protection for several major retail outlets. References are available on request.
